Bring your welding expertise to the forefront of world-class EPC projects in the energy sector – based in the heart of Paris!

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Welding Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Paris, France.

Role Purpose:

Provide expert welding engineering support on complex international EPC projects in the oil and gas sector.

Act as the technical interface between clients, subcontractors, and internal disciplines.

Ensure full compliance with industry standards, quality procedures, and project specifications.

Deliver high-quality documentation and contribute to key project planning and execution milestones.

Job Role Responsibilities:

Participate in technical meetings (KOM, PIM, etc.) and audits worldwide with Clients, Partners, and Subcontractors.

Review Client and Partner specifications; develop project-specific deliverables.

Manage and review Subcontractor documentation including WPS, PQR, NDE & PWHT procedures, ITPs, and Testing Procedures.

Address technical queries from Clients and Vendors, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.

Support communication across disciplines including pressure vessel, piping, and procurement.

Provide technical support to QC Coordinators and Construction Managers.

Perform gap analyses of applicable design and fabrication codes (ASME, EN/ISO, DNV, API, AWS, ASTM).

Develop Welding and NDE specifications for inclusion in material requisitions.

Select and recommend appropriate welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, SAW).

Attend subcontractor sites (Vendor/Yard) to resolve technical issues and major non-conformances.

Ensure documentation quality and compliance with Technip Energies' standards and project procedures.

Interface proactively with engineering, vendors, and construction contractors throughout project phases.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

MSc degree in Mechanical, Welding Engineering, or Materials & Metallurgy.

IWE Certification – Compulsory.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in welding engineering, quality, and NDE within oil & gas projects.

Strong knowledge of international standards (ASME, EN/ISO, DNV, API, AWS, ASTM).

NDE Certification Level 2 or 3 is desirable.

Proficient in English (written and verbal).

Competent in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Autodesk, and other engineering-related software.

Strong interpersonal skills, self-managing, dynamic, and team-oriented.
