Process Engineer - Injection Moulding

Location: Hull

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary - £45,000

Omega is working with an established and forward-thinking manufacturer, seeking a Process Engineer with proven injection moulding expertise to join their growing team in Hull. This is a key role in supporting production performance, quality, and continuous improvement across a wide range of eco-conscious plastic moulding operations.

Responsibilities - Process Engineer

Set up, optimise, and maintain injection moulding processes for consistent output and quality

Troubleshoot tooling and machine issues to minimise downtime

Lead process development and improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and increasing efficiency

Work closely with cross-functional teams on equipment commissioning and new product introduction

Maintain high standards of documentation, safety, and compliance

Support maintenance with diagnostics and technical problem-solving

Requirements :

Experience in injection moulding process engineering within a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of machine optimisation, troubleshooting, and tool setting

Practical maintenance and diagnostics capability

Proactive problem-solving skills and an eye for process efficiency

Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset

Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement

Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Mechanical, Manufacturing)

An interest in sustainability and low-impact production
