TQR Plymouth is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a world-renowned manufacturer, for experienced Laminators to join their skilled production team in Plymouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a prestigious brand, contributing to the build of some of the finest yachts in the world.

The Role:

As a Laminator, you’ll be responsible for producing GRP components using wet lay-up and infusion techniques. You’ll work with composite materials to create high-quality hulls, decks, and structural parts, ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and treat moulds for gel coat and lay-up

  • Mix and apply resins, gel coats, and composite materials

  • Perform hand lay-up and resin infusion processes

  • Install structural components and carry out bonding tasks

  • Conduct quality checks and maintain a safe, organised workspace

  • Support apprentices and collaborate across departments

    What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in composite laminating within the marine/yacht building sector or similar

  • Skilled in open and closed moulding techniques

  • Confident using hand and air tools

  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and a strong team player

    Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday

  • 07:00 – 17:00
