Techniche Global is supporting a leading manufacturer of premium paper packaging materials for the medical device industry in appointing an experienced Sales Manager in Milnthorpe, South Cumbria.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing an existing customer base, while proactively identifying new prospects and creating added-value opportunities to generate new business.

You will build a network, primarily with packaging line manufacturers and similar companies within the medical market.

The role will require some initial product training at their site, with an expectation of frequent travel across the UK and EMEA, and occasional travel further afield due to the global scope of the business.

Key responsibilities/duties of the Sales Manager:

Continuously grow company position in the medical market by creating added value opportunities and proactively identifying new leads and ultimately obtaining new business
Maintain and develop existing customer base of converters and device manufacturer in the medical market.
Actively support and develop company medical market strategy.
Create and use a network of industry competence (packing line manufacturers, etc.) to support and build a solution services offer.
Contribute to technical marketing activities (case studies, reports, articles, etc)
Organise and participate at medical market seminars for customers and brand-owners (MDMs).
Contribute to company mapping of medical market demands.
Submit sales budgets and forecasts
Negotiate prices and volumes in collaborations with VP Sales & Marketing
Create and use a network of industry competence
Facilitate and mediate in claim handling between customer and customer- and technical service
Manage payment conditions and follow up
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:

Min 5 years of experience in Sales in the medical market industry, paper, or flexible packaging environment;
Fluent in English, additional language skills beneficial.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Degree level in business marketing or materials science.
