Mechanical Design Engineer - HVAC

We are working with a growing manufacturing business specialising in innovative HVAC-related solutions, supplying products into a global market. Due to continued expansion and increased demand, they are looking to appoint aMechanical Production Engineer to join their team in Bridgwater.

This is an exciting opportunity to join asmall, collaborative engineering team where you will play a key role in bothnew product development and continuous improvement of existing designs, supporting a business that is experiencing strong sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project requirements including product functionality and application
• Produce detailed2D and 3D designs using engineering software (Inventor preferred)
• Create and manageBills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system
• Work closely with Operations to supportmanufacturing processes and improvements
• Develop and refine designs to meet performance, cost, and quality requirements
• Assess production methods and contribute tocost-effective manufacturing strategies
• Liaise with suppliers to help establish and maintain a robust supply chain
• Evaluate product performance acrossdurability, safety, and functionality
• Implement feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Minimum2 years’ experience in a Production or Design Engineering role
• Strong understanding ofmanufacturing processes and mechanical design principles
• Experience withinHVAC, or working with pumps, heat exchangers, fans, or pipe sizing
• Proficient inAutodesk Inventor (Vault experience desirable)
• Comfortable managing BOMs and working within ERP systems
• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (BEng, HNC, HND, or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related field
