Operations Manager – Advanced Materials / Chemistry

Salary:£65k - £75k p/annum plus benefits

We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of advanced materials and chemical manufacturing, seeking a driven Operations Manager to lead site performance and deliver operational excellence.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop production, logistics, and operational teams
- Drive improvements inefficiency, quality, and cost control
- Ensure full compliance withHSE and regulatory standards
- Implement and embedcontinuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) methodologies
- Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and delivery performance
- Collaborate with technical, R&D, and commercial teams to support innovation and scale-up
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets
About You
- Qualified in a relevant degree
- Proven experience in anoperations / production management role within manufacturing or process-led environments
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience inchemical, materials, or advanced manufacturing environments
- Sound understanding ofhealth & safety and regulatory compliance
- Track record of deliveringcontinuous improvement and operational performance gains
