Mech Tech Professionals require an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a full-time position based in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire.
Our client, a prestigious Oil & Gas company, require a competent professional to start with them immediately or upon availability.
Whilst holding a vital role, the Mechanical Engineer will work within the Technical Services department to provide technical support, coordination and to implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Salary: Negotiable (Depending on experience and skillset)
Main responsibilities will include:
🔺 The provision of Mechanical & Technical support ensuring safe and reliable equipment operation across its lifecycle
🔺 Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency
🔺 Support preventive maintenance programs to deliver reliability & availability requirements across the equipment lifecycle.
🔺Provides technical support to Operations, Maintenance and Technical personnel on site
🔺Checks machines/equipment: may include non-invasive measurements, visual inspection, performance data and scheduled tests.
🔺Other
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
🔺 Qualified in Mechanical Engineering to degree level (required)
🔺 Sound level of materials engineering knowledge/experience (preferred)
🔺 Technical understanding of risk-based inspections, equipment damage and the types and techniques of inspection(s)
🔺 A good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and ability to apply in practise including for pressure vessels, piping, tankage and an understanding of tools
🔺 Industry experience utilising mechanical equipment (not limited to Oil & Gas)
