Position: Sales Manager

Area: UK

Salary: Up to £60k + bonus + car

The Company: Chemicals Distributor

The Role:

  • Achievement of budget and KPI’s as set on an annual basis

  • Management of key accounts by providing excellent commercial and technical awareness

  • Business development by generating growth through customer acquisition, product acquisition and identifying new products for existing and new markets/applications

  • Recording of customer data and interactions within a CRM System.

  • Responsible for regular customer visits within their territory (but sometimes other geographies where applicable) with prompt reporting

  • Responsible for working closely with the Company’s Principals, to provide the highest levels of service and representation

  • Accurate reporting of sales figures and opportunity pipeline to senior management

  • Future opportunities to take on Product Management responsibilities

  • Representation of the company at trade events

  • Work closely with the Customer Service Team to ensure the highest standards of customer care

    Requirements:

  • Experience of selling to companies within manufacturing industries that are producing the products, including but not exclusive to composites, thermosets, plastics, compounding and masterbatch. (As opposed to the brands and or commercial organisations operating in the supply chain).

  • Technical background and an understanding of the requirements of producers of technical products.

  • Track record of generating growth through solution-based selling.

  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to identify new business and margin growth opportunities.

  • Ideally has worked within the chemicals distribution industry.

  • Determined business developer who can identify opportunities and implement strategies to deliver results.

  • Experience of CRM and MS Office IT systems.

  • Well organised and able to manage sales opportunity pipelines effectively.

  • A confident, relationship seller who can build rapport with customers within purchasing and technical departments and at various levels of organisations including senior management
