GI GROUP TELFORD is looking for an experienced Laminating Machine Operator in a well established company in Hortonwood Area.

Location - Telford
Pay - 13.45 £
Shifts - 7 or 8 AM start - 5 PM , 40 hrs a week.

Experience in operating Laminating Machines is a MUST for this role !

Job is to operate and maintain laminating machines, ensuring the production of high-quality laminated materials like solid board sheets or multi-layer composites. Read job tickets, set machine parameters, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot problems. Additionally, may assist with material preparation, quality control, and machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating the Machine:Set up, operate, and monitor the laminating machine according to job specifications and instructions.

Material Handling:Load and prepare materials, ensuring proper reel alignment and alignment of materials on the machine.

Quality Control:Perform visual inspections and quality tests (moisture, flatness, etc.) to ensure product quality meets standards.

Machine Maintenance:Clean and maintain the laminating machine, including rollers, glue systems, and other components.

Troubleshooting:Identify and address any issues or problems that may arise during machine operation.

Communication and Coordination:Work with team leaders, planning teams, and engineering to optimise production and reduce downtime.

Additional Tasks:

Glue Mixing: Mix glue for the laminating machine and maintain the glue system.
Material Preparation: Assist with slitting materials, preparing reels, and cutting material to size.
Cross-Training: Support the cross-training of other team members.

Required Skills:

Technical Skills:
Ability to operate and maintain laminating machines, read and interpret job instructions, and troubleshoot machine problems.

Safety Awareness:
Understanding and adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials, potentially including heavy reels.

Communication and Teamwork:
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Basic Literacy and Numeracy:
Ability to read and interpret data, follow instructions, and record information.
