Technical Projects Chemist

Join a leading company renowned for its innovation and commitment to sustainability. We are seeking a Technical Projects Chemist to join our NPD team. This role is crucial for prioritising workload and ensuring that our technical service activities are responsive, efficient, and consistently delivered to a high standard.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prioritise and coordinate technical service requests from customers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Support short-term NPD projects and customer requirements, maintaining strong quality and approval standards.
  • Ensure laboratory testing is completed safely, accurately, and in line with agreed standards.
  • Coordinate trials on production and customer sites as required.
  • Work closely with the Senior Technical Services Manager, technical teams, and wider stakeholders to align priorities and resources.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all health, safety, training, and compliance requirements are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in laboratory testing, R&D, QC, or technical services.
  • Confident prioritising multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Clear communicator, able to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Chemistry or Material Science.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar lab-based or technical role.
  • Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, or design of experiments.
  • Project management experience or qualification is advantageous.
