PRODUCTION OPERATIVE – MIDDLETON, MANCHESTER – £26,000 PER ANNUM

This role would suit candidates with experience as aProduction Operative, Laboratory Technician, Lab Assistant, R&D Technician, Technical Assistant, Sample Technician, Quality Laboratory Technician or Laboratory Production Operator.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• 09:00 – 17:00
• 37.5 hours per week
• Full-time, permanent position
Rates of Pay
• £26,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Production Operative, your duties will include:
• Producing customer samples and internal development materials accurately and effectively
• Supporting Development Technologists with internal and customer projects
• Manufacturing samples for live customer enquiries
• Carrying out laboratory testing and analysis
• Supporting raw material analysis and development work
• Assisting with sample production, testing and technical activities
• Recording results and producing reports on work completed
• Using laboratory sample and IT systems
• Supporting the R&D team with day-to-day technical requirements
• Helping to improve materials, procedures and processes
• Troubleshooting problems and helping to identify suitable solutions
• Working in line with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
Essential Skills
To be successful for this Production Operative position, you will need:
• Strong attention to detail and a diligent approach to your work
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good time management and the ability to work to deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to remain calm and organised when priorities change
• A practical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• A genuine interest in laboratory, technical, scientific or manufacturing work
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous but is not essential:
• Previous laboratory experience within a manufacturing environment
• Science, chemistry, biology, materials or laboratory-based qualifications
• Experience of sample preparation, manufacture or testing
• Raw material testing or analysis experience
• Experience using ERP systems
• Knowledge of polymer compounding, processing, test methods or associated equipment
Training Provided
• Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their knowledge of the company's materials, processes, testing methods and laboratory equipment
