Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar with a background knowledge of Solidworks and looking for a step into Project Management? Are you looking to work for a growing company who make pioneering instruments for scientific research, who offer routes to progress, the ability to work on a variety of fast-moving projects and work on a hybrid basis?

On offer is the opportunity to join a leading scientific research company specializing in advanced measurement instruments used across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, materials science, and petrochemicals. With a strong focus on innovation and quality, the company provides technological solutions that address key global challenges. You will be part of a team that values precision, technical expertise, and continuous development.

This varied role, will see you responsible for the design and drawing of key products and components in both 2D and 3D using Solidworks, you will complete new design concepts, focus on continuous improvement of existing products and be developed in the project management aspect of the lifecycle, including bill of materials, costings and NPI. This is a Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour week with 1 day a week working from home.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar that is looking for a new challenge, by stepping into a projects based design role with a leading scienific company, who make a real difference to the industry and give you opportunities to progress.

The Role:

Project Management of Existing and New Product Design
Design using Solidworks and AutoCAD of Products and Components
Continuous Improvement
BOM's, Costings and Supplier Management
Mon - Fri (9AM - 5PM), hybrid workingThe Person:
