Your Main Tasks

  • Material analysis and characterization of thermoplastics & thermoset materials (PE, PP, Heat-Shrink materials, EPDM, Silicones & Epoxy) for cable accessories
  • Material definition and development to produce functional prototypes out of polymeric materials
  • Running-in and optimizing the processes in combination with the product design and the injection molding & extrusion materials (is a plus)
  • Quality assurance and documentation tests for dimensions, mechanical and electrical parameters
  • Evaluation, documentation and presentation of the development tasks in a global development team
  • Creation of technical documentation and evaluations
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation in a global development team and with suppliers

Your Ideal Background

  • Master or Diploma in Engineering Chemistry or Materials Science (Polymer Technology)
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of material development (specifically heat-shrink, PE, PP & EPDM)
  • Experience in an international company desirable
  • Flexibility for a wide range of tasks
  • Solid PC skills (MS Office)
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Ability to work in a team, assertiveness, self-motivation
