Job Title: Paint Preparation Technician (2 Positions)

Location: Hungerford
Salary: £32,000 per annum

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday:7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Overtime available, paid at1.5x hourly rate

Overview

We are currently recruiting for2 Paint Preparation Technicians to join our team in Hungerford. This role involves working withcomposite panels, includingfibreglass and carbon fibre materials, preparing them to a high standard for painting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare composite panels for paint finishing, including:
    • Filling imperfections
    • Sanding surfaces to a smooth finish
    • Ensuring panels are ready for painting
  • Handlefragile materials such as fibreglass and carbon fibre with care
  • Inspect surfaces to ensure quality standards are met prior to painting
  • Work closely with the paint spraying/finishing team
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in apaint preparation, finishing, or similar role
  • Experience working withcomposite materials (fibreglass/carbon fibre) is highly desirable
  • Background inautomotive, paint spraying, or finishing environments preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work with delicate materials carefully

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in automotive body shops or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of paint processes and surface finishing techniques
