We are seeking a skilled and motivated Injection Moulding Technician to join the production team. You will be responsible for setting, and maintaining a range of injection moulding machines, ensuring high quality and efficient production runs in line with customer specifications.

Injection Moulding:

  1. Set and optimise moulding machines for production jobs

  2. Carry out tool changes, material changes, and machine setups

  3. Troubleshoot processing and tooling issues

  4. Maintain high-quality standards, performing in-process checks and reporting defects. Creation of setting sheets.

  5. Monitor cycle times and process conditions to ensure consistent output

  6. Liaise with toolmakers and maintenance teams for repairs and improvements

  7. Maintain accurate production records and job documentation

  8. Follow all health & safety and company policies

  9. Support training and mentoring of junior staff where required

  10. Support Mould shop Manager with daily tasks if/when required

    Quality Control:

  11. Monitor production processes and inspect moulded parts for defects, abnormalities, or dimensional inaccuracies, conducting visual inspections and performing quality checks as required.

  12. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or production issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.

    Safety Compliance:

  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of materials, operation of equipment, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  14. Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses to supervisors or safety personnel immediately, and participate in safety training and awareness programs as required.

    Qualifications:

  15. Proven experience in injection moulding (minimum 4 years preferred)

  16. Good knowledge of polymers, processing parameters, and mould set-up

  17. Understanding of quality control methods and standards (ISO 9001 or equivalent)

  18. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications

  19. Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment

  20. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
