GRP Composites Finisher job in Wallingford, Oxfordshire

Location: Wallingford
Hours: 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)
Reports to: Finishing Team Leader

A great opportunity has arisen for a GRP Composites Finisher based in Wallingford, working as part of a skilled finishing team producing high-quality components for boat construction. The successful applicant will play an important role in the preparation, polishing, trimming, and repair of GRP mouldings to achieve an exceptional surface finish.

As a GRP Composites Finisher in Wallingford, you will be responsible for carrying out gel coat repairs, trimming, filling, fairing, and polishing of composite components. You will take pride in producing excellent results, maintaining efficiency, and meeting production deadlines in a busy and supportive team environment.

Main Duties for the job include:



Inspecting and identifying defects that require rework.

Repairing gel coat surfaces to remove imperfections and joint lines.

Fairing and polishing GRP components to a high standard.

*

Trimming and sanding GRP components using air saws, routers, and abrasives.

*

Maintaining high standards of workmanship and cleanliness in the work area.

*

Assisting colleagues and supporting training for new team members.

*

Using PPE correctly and upholding all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

This GRP Composites Finisher job in Wallingford offers the chance to join a dedicated and growing manufacturing team producing parts for the marine industry. Previous experience in GRP finishing, painting, or detailing is essential, and experience within the marine or similar precision industry would be an advantage.
