We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer, to join an established and well known business in Lancashire.

The idea candidate will have a background in Composite sales, be based in the north territory and keen to take on a new challenge.

As a Technical Sales Engineer with the business, you will undertake sales activity to support current customers and actively seek out new potential customers in the defined area.

This role is to cover the north, from Manchester upwards. You will be based in the north, working with customers at their site, home working and some time in the Blackburn offices when needed.

Day to Day Duties

  • Prepare and achieve agreed Sales Targets

  • Customer contact and care through regular visits / communication

  • Technical support where and when appropriate

  • Preparation of quotes / sampling and subsequently follow ups

  • Liaise with various manufacturing units throughout Europe

  • Joint customer visits with Engineers from relevant manufacturing operations

  • Attendance at appropriate trade shows and presentations

  • Overseas visits to various sites around Europe

  • Liaise with our internal sales support team to ensure customers support is maintained

    Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Ideally, you will have extensive knowledge of composite materials and processes, though a comprehensive training package will be provided

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral

  • Competence in IT is essential

  • Self-disciplined and a strong desire to achieve

  • Proven commercial instinct and ability

  • The ability to work under pressure and achieve targets and deadlines

  • Essential to function both as an individual and part of a team

  • Clean driving license

    Pay & Benefits

  • A basic salary of up to £44,000 per annum, plus commissions

  • Company car
