Shift Production Operator

Accrington, Lancashire (commutable from North Manchester, Preston and surrounding areas)

Salary £27,000 + shift allowance

Permanent

Hours - 40 hours per week on an 8 hour, 3-shift rota (06:00am-14:00pm, 14:00pm - 22:00pm, and 22:00pm - 06:00am).

A driver's licence with access to a car will likely be needed as site is difficult to get to

SRG is working with a global manufacturer of industrial speciality chemicals who are currently looking to add to their production team as they look to manufacture on a 24/7 basis towards the start of 2026. The role would suit someone with a background in chemistry, chemical engineering or an industrial process operator background. Applications are encouraged from chemistry graduates who would be interested in working in an industrial manufacturing environment. There is a clear progression plan in place once new starters are up to speed with the technology.

Role Description

Working as part of a shift team with chemical reactors in a manufacturing environment
Interpreting batch sheet instructions are followed, and health and safety procedures are adhered to
Sampling and weighing various potentially harmful raw materials
Oporating and monitoring reactors to set conditions
Working closely with the quality team to process samples
Keeping detailed records of batchesRequirements

Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering preferred or relevant industrial experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision while following written instructions effectively
Fit and healthy enough to work in a manual manufacturing environment
Willing to work a rotating shift pattern
Driver's licence and access to a vehicle
Full right to work in the UK
