We are seeking a Process Scientist to provide process support to the evaluation department in Brimsdown as well as develop and improve sampling and evaluation processes for customer feedstocks to the PGM refining business. The work will involve monitoring and analysis of processes and data in conjunction with laboratory, pilot and plant scale development and commissioning trials for our operations at Brimsdown.

As the Process Scientist, you will help drive our goals by:

Provide general technical support to the Evaluation department to address processing issues and concerns and ensure safe and efficient operations.
Design and carry out validations of sampling techniques to ensure the results are representative and repeatable.
Build knowledge and expertise in sampling through participation in external courses and reading literature.
Assist with refining evaluations to determine sampling and processing routes for potential new refining opportunities and identify potential EHS or operational concerns.
Provide technical input into potential process improvements, modifying or commissioning new equipment in the evaluation department as needed.
Conduct investigations to assist in Customer complaint resolution.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Analytical teams to investigate and resolve potential sampling issues and evaluate risks.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy or Chemistry
High level of numeracy, working with data and statistics
Demonstrated an understanding and commitment to EH&S
Experience working in a quality-driven environment
Good practical skills and experience at lab, pilot or plant scale
Desire to learn new skills and processes
Delivers innovative & practical solutions
