Salary: £45,230.18 (including the 35% holiday bonus)

Working Hours (day shift) Monday - Thursday 7am - 15.30pm Fridays 7am - 12.30pm

OR 3-shift:

Earlies: Monday - 6.30am- 3pm Tuesday - Thursday: 7am - 3pm Friday: 7am - 12pm

Lates: Monday - Thursday: 3pm - 11pm Friday: 12pm-5.30pm

Nights: Monday - Thursday: 11pm - 7am Friday: 5.30pm - 11pm

Join the Electric Revolution! Measurement Room Specialist - Ford Halewood Transmissions

Ford Halewood Transmissions, a leader in electric vehicle technology, is seeking a skilled and motivated Measurement Room Specialist to join our team as we build a cutting-edge EV powertrain production facility.

As the first site in Europe to manufacture EV components, our Halewood facility is undergoing a significant transformation, and we are investing heavily in this innovative project. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our components, contributing to the success of our electric vehicle ambitions.

Main Responsibilities

Support the commissioning of new, state-of-the-art measurement equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient operation.

Utilise your expertise in metrology and measurement principles to ensure the precision of internal and external purchased components, using advanced laboratory equipment.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of measurement methods and processes, driving innovation and efficiency.

Produce detailed measurement reports for components, ensuring clear communication of results and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Assist with quality investigations, providing expert measurement support to resolve issues and maintain the highest standards of quality.

Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers, technicians, and production personnel, working effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

The Ideal Candidate

A completed Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship or an HNC/HND equivalent in a relevant subject.

A strong understanding of measurement principles, processes, and engineering drawings, with a background in metrology or metallurgy measurement preferred.

Proficiency in computer applications, including Word and Excel, with strong communication abilities.

Knowledge of 5S and workplace organization practices, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team while being self-motivated and flexible.

A strong work ethic, adaptability, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work independently.
