My client based near Aberdare, who is a leading international supplier of custom-designed products, who are focused on high-quality and excellent service, are seeking a Lab Technician to join their team.

A Lab Technician within this manufacturing business is responsible for conducting various tests and analyses on materials to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.

This role involves working closely with the production and quality assurance teams to support the development and manufacturing of their products.

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be responsible for product development, formulation, production and testing of laboratory samples.

Further responsibilities include ensuring the laboratory conforms to regulatory standards.

As a Lab Tech you will:

Conduct Tests and Analyses: Perform chemical and physical tests on raw materials, in process samples, and finished products to evaluate properties such as tensile strength, elasticity, and durability
Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet specified quality standards by identifying defects and recommending process improvements
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all tests and analyses, including data entry and report generation
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Technical Support: Provide technical support to the production team and assist in troubleshooting issues related to materials
Research and Development: Assist in the development of new formulations and processes by conducting experiments and providing feedback

You will need:

A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the polymer or manufacturing industry
