  • Development Engineer role focussed on the development, test, and production of innovative product solutions for automotive, aerospace, defence, and marine applications.

    This Development Engineer role could suit a candidate working in various roles linked to the design, development, and manufacture of products. This is an incredibly diverse Development Engineer role leading the delivery of engineering products from conception through to production.

    You may be currently working in Development Engineer, Design Engineer, Test Engineer, Project Engineer, Production Engineer, or a similar engineering role.

    This Development Engineer job will suit:

  • A Development Engineer / Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer interested in working across the product development lifecycle to deliver product design, development, test, and manufacturing solutions to customers.

  • You will work on customer development projects across design, development, test, validation, and production.

  • Specific industry experience is not massively important but an interest in working on the development of products for automotive, specialist vehicle, aerospace, defence, marine or similar applications would be beneficial.

  • You are likely to be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering, materials engineering, product design or similar engineering / science-based discipline.

  • You must be eligible for UK Defence Security Clearance for this role.

    This Development Engineer job will involve:

  • Lead the delivery of engineering products from conception through to production.

  • This will be an incredibly diverse role with you having a key role across developing technical solutions, stress analysis (hand calculations), testing, productionisation, and improvement projects.

  • In time you will have the opportunity to become a technical lead for a specific product range.

  • Manage the development of new products and processes.

  • Specify and execute test programs for development and validation of new products.

  • You will act as a point of contact for suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
