GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a globally successful and highly recognisable manufacturing engineering company, located in Droitwich.

We are currently looking to recruit a Customer Service / Account Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, offering a salary circa £32,000.

We are looking for an individual with similar experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment, with a STRONG ability to build professional relationships at all levels both inside the business and with key customers and proficiency in ERP / MRP and CRM software.

The successful Customer Service / Account Manager will be the voice of the customer within the business and the primary communication link from the business to the customer. You will develop close working bonds with key personnel within customer organisations to acquire a good understanding of the needs and wants of the customer as well as manage customer enquiries from first contact to receipt of order thereby ensuring a flow of new work into the business. You will confidently resolve a wide variety of customer issues received by the business, working in collaboration with all departments.

Customer Service/Account Manager main duties:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach, with the look of setting up meetings to sell the business products.

  • Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as one of the primary communication links between customers and the business

  • Receive customer enquiries via a variety of means (web site, telephone, e-mail)

  • Purchasing to obtain costs for materials and Bought Out Parts.

  • Record such enquiries according to current business practice (spreadsheet, CRM module in ERP system).

  • Co-operate with Engineering to ensure accurate communication of customer requirements for existing product modification and new product introduction.

    Customer Service/Account Manager required skills and experience:

  • Appreciation of manufacturing processes together with the ability to learn specific detail of processing plastics and composite materials.

  • Excellent collaborative and communication skills (e-mail, phone, and face-to-face conversation) within the business and with customers.

  • Strong ability to build professional relationships at all levels both inside the business and with key customers.

  • Highly numerate with excellent levels of accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

  • Focussed on customer service.

  • Self-motivated and committed to the needs of the business.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
