Our client has an opportunity for an Assembly & Integration Manager to join them on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the day to day management and coordination across the Manufacturing Assembly, Integration team. Role: Assembly & Integration Manager Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire Hours: 37.5 hours per week Clearance: Ability to obtain SC clearance Salary: Discussed Upon Application What you'll be doing:

Lead and develop the Assembly and Integration team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Manage daily manufacturing, assembly and integration operations across product portfolio to ensure quality, schedule and cost are met and track progress, escalating any risks or delays to Snr MAIT Manager
Coordinate resources, allocate work orders and create relevant documentation (e.g. Quality travellers) to ensure efficient build process
Oversee adherence to health & safety and safe working practices, ensuring compliance with H&S policy and all relevant regulations
Ensuring Quality Management System is adhered to, assign tasks and responsibilities across the team aligned to business priorities, manage conflicts and resolve bottle necks, engaging Senior MAIT Manager where appropriate
Conduct Risk assessment reviews and approval
Support the Snr MAIT Manager in defining/writing companywide/MAIT internal policies, and procedures
Support the Projects in defining/writing qualified MAIT processes when required
Assemble and coordinate Assembly and Integration staff based on company/project budgets/commitments
Monitor and report on progress of the MAI activities to Snr MAIT Manager
Support customer and internal reviews
Provide mentorship to MAIT team members regarding best practices.
Identify training needs to help enhance the skills with the MAIT team
Collaboration and integration with Engineering and other teams to resolve technical issues during the build phases, suggest design for manufacture improvements and feedback lessons learned.
Coordinate with Composites, Test & Stores to ensure correct and timely delivery of components and test procedures to ensure projects remain on track
Ensure processes are followed across MAI - stage gates (MMR, ARR's carried out)
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree-level in engineering/physics related subject or HNC/ equivalent with very strong relevant experience
Demonstrative management experience leading teams
Experience of manufacturing in highly regulated sector ideally space or aerospace
Proven leadership experience
Proven commitment to Safety and Quality standards
Demonstrable experience of leading and coaching teams in a MAIT environment
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, Test (functional testing, Electrical bonding/isolation, Vibration, shock, TVAC, kinematic testing of deployable systems)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
Demonstrate a common sense/pragmatic and logical approach to problem solving ability to find simple solutions to complex problems
Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated to meet objectives with strong organisational skills
Ability to work both alone and in teams as required by the individual task
Ability to work within defined timescales to meet programme milestones
Ability to work on several projects at any one time
Driven by technical challenges, problem solving and practical implementation of new ideas
Willingness to learn and share knowledge with other members of the team
Ability to gain SC clearance (be resident in the UK for at least 5 years)
Full UK drivers licence
