Job Title: R&D Chemist

Location: Lancashire

Salary: £40,000 - £43,00

Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:15

We are recruiting for an experienced chemist to join a busy and well-established business. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive team environment, contributing to day-to-day operations and helping maintain high standards across the function.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out core duties in line with business and team requirements

What we're looking for:

Essentials

Graduate degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline

Solid background in materials testing

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels of an organisation

Strong computer literacy

Ability to work independently and as part of a wider R&D team

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Self-motivated with a proactive and driven approach

Desirable

PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience developing test methods

Experience with statistical analysis
