Monday to Thursday 8 am - 4.45 pm / Friday 8.00 am 12.00 pm

What is the purpose of the Quality Controller?
Your role is to work as part of a team of multi-skilled Inspectors in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace products, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components, and composites.
 
What are the responsibilities of the Quality Controller?

Mechanical / Electrical inspection of Aerospace product
In Process Inspection
First Article Inspection
Work on own initiatives and resolve any issues or problems in line with company procedures
Investigate quality issues to resolution, in conjunction with all necessary internal or external bodies relating to product/process/system. These may be initiated by internal or external customers
Maintenance of Quality Records and Metrics
Support the shop floor with Technical issues if required
Auditing of Approved Operators
Support training of others in products and processes for your area
Because of the changing nature of our business, your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
You will be required to undertake all responsibilities above in line with your Grade  
What are the qualifications and experience required for the Quality Controller?

Use of Measuring Equipment
Able to interpret Engineering Drawings
Previous experience required, although training can be provided
Experience of Goods In Inspection and processes advantageous
Aerospace knowledge is advantageous
Experience of FAIRs to AS 9102
IT Skills
Root Cause Tools - 5 why's / 8D
City & Guilds
An apprentice trained in a relevant discipline is advantageous
