This is a fantastic opportunity to join Marshalls Land Systems ((url removed)/) and their team of Press Brake Operators, manufacturing mobile workspaces and their associated equipment. The role will be based at their facility in Cambridge (postcode is CB5 8RX)

You will be playing an important role in some high-profile military projects, and your ideas and contribution will be valued in a business where people really matter. Training will be provided on the products and there is scope for further development and progression within the company

STANDARD pays £19.69 per hour PAYE (holiday pay is paid on top)

OVER 37 HOURS IS TIME AND HALF which pays £29.54 per hour PAYE

SUNDAYS pays £39.38 per hour PAYE

6 -12 months (potential for extension and permanent prospects)

Hours: 7.15am – 3.45pm Monday to Thursday with a half day finish on Fridays

Purpose of the role:

Operation/setting of CNC and manual machine tools (brake presses, saws and laser cutters)
Machining of composite/metallic components to a high standard
Carry out planned maintenance of machinery in accordance with maintenance schedules
Tooling Modifications and repairs as detailed within manufacturing job cards and verbal instructions
To ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with local risk assessments and current health and safety legislation
(Training will be available to allow all staff to gain more skills within the department outside the requirements of this job profile)
Experience/Qualifications:

Significant experience using CNC machines and manual machine tools
Any prior press brake experience would be highly desirable
Extensive experience in Component Part Manufacturing/Assemblies within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment
NVQ level 3 or equivalent or time-served apprentice
Good communication skills
Demonstrate high standards of quality at work
Ability to plan own workload and prioritise
Experience of machining composite materials would be beneficial
Flexible approach to work.
