Mechanical Assembly Engineer⭐

Full-time | St Albans, Hertfordshire

About the Role

We are currently hiring for an established engineering and manufacturing business who are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join their growing production team. This is a hands-on role assembling high-quality mechanical systems and components within a clean, well-organised workshop environment. The position involves working with metals and polymers, following assembly drawings, and ensuring products are built to precise standards. You’ll work closely with a small, supportive team of engineers to deliver reliable, well-engineered equipment for a range of technical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to specification

  • Prepare and cut materials including metal and polymer parts

  • Work to detailed engineering drawings and quality standards

  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete full system builds

  • Conduct product testing, inspections, and sign-off

  • Assist with design improvements and product development when required

  • Support occasional site-based work within the UK (training provided)

    ✅Essential Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on mechanical assembly experience

  • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, or pipework connections

  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines
