Join a leading scientific company as a Calibration Laboratory Technician specialising in spectroscopy, particularly UV-VIS, and analytical chemistry. This pivotal role involves the preparation and certification of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs), enhancing the accuracy and reliability of laboratory standards globally. You will work within ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 accredited frameworks under the guidance of the Calibration Laboratory Manager.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare and certify Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) to meet international standards.
  • Utilise advanced UV-VIS spectroscopy techniques and analytical chemistry expertise in daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the Calibration Laboratory Manager and team to meet departmental goals.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy laboratory environment.
  • Maintain accurate job cards and documentation, support audit activities, and keep rigorous records.
  • Support team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing work culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification in laboratory sciences.
  • Strong experience or knowledge in spectroscopy, particularly UV-VIS, and skilled in calibration measurements, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • A willingness to learn and follow protocols to maintain a compliance culture.
