Are you a Joiner or similar, looking to move into the marine industry with full training and support?

This is a second-generation, family-run company based in Whitby, known for building and refitting high-quality fishing boats and workboats. They're one of the UK's last specialist shipbuilders, combining traditional skills with modern techniques. The owner has a hands-on background and still works closely with the team. It's a friendly, down-to-earth place where people take real pride in what they do.

The company carries out full boat builds, mainly workboats and trawlers, from the ground up. In this role, you'll work on marine interiors and structures using wood and composite materials, helping to install bulkheads, cabins, fixtures and furniture. You'll be part of a skilled team building real, tangible products with purpose. Full training is provided for joiners new to the marine industry.

The Role:

Fit out boat interiors including bulkheads, cabins, bunks, lockers and other components
Work with timber, laminates, composite panels and hand/power tools
Assist in building and refitting fishing vessels and workboats
Work safely onboard vessels in a shipyard environment
50 hours per week - Monday to FridayThe Person:
