We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading engineering company in Fareham.

Introduction
The primary role of the Junior Manufacturing Engineer/ Manufacturing Engineer will be to support the introduction of new products, processes and equipment into the manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Working with Product Engineering to manage the production process for manufacturing from initial feasibility and planning to introduction to production
  
  
• Planning and implementation of safe and efficient production systems, processes, equipment and facilities to make products which are error free and meet their design specification
  
  
• Capacity planning of manufacturing resources to ensure the manufacturing function capability is aligned to the business requirements
  
  
• Cost planning, analysis and reporting
  
  
• Use LEAN and Continuous Improvement to optimise efficiency
  
  
• Work closely with various teams across the site to corporate strong collaborative links to synchronise targets and provide effective team working
  
  Ideal Skills
  The ideal candidate will have had some experience in working closely with product design, quality engineers and production teams.
  
  
• Either recently graduated or have some Manufacturing Engineering experience, ideally with a successful track record of planning and implementing new equipment and processes.
  
  
• Good computer literacy, ideally have experience or knowledge of MS Office, Teams and Excel, any experience also with SAP, Sharepoint or PowerBI would be advantageous
  
  
• Degree or HNC in a related mechanical discipline
  
  
• Lean and or Continuous Improvement experience / knowledge
  
  
• Composites experience would be an advantage
  
  Hours
  
  Monday to Friday – Days, 40 hours per week.
