Job Description:

As a Toolmaker Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the R&D team, playing a key role in evaluating, testing and improving components such as exhaust throttle and exhaust gas recirculation systems. Your work will support the delivery of innovative solutions to clients in the global powertrain market.

Key responsibilities for the Toolmaker include:

  • Designing, setting up, and operating test apparatus (mechanical, electrical, and control-based).

  • Developing test specifications and coordinating with stakeholders.

  • Collecting, analysing, and reporting test data with recommendations for improvements.

  • Supporting the development of validation programs for alternate systems and subsystems.

  • Assembling and building prototype components with precision.

  • Performing teardown and failure analysis on tested parts.

    Skills & Experience:

    To succeed as a Toolmaker you should have:

  • Qualifications or experience in a relevant engineering discipline.

  • Background in tooling with experience of assembly, fitting and machining.

  • Proven experience in testing, diagnostics, and fault finding.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a collaborative attitude.
