Technical/Quality Manager - Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
Pension: Stakeholder pension

A small but internationally connected manufacturer in the Stoke-on-Trent area is looking to recruit a Technical/Quality Manager. This is a key role within a small, close-knit team, offering the opportunity to work closely with the current Technical Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Managing the Quality Assurance System

Investigating new applications, products and materials

Responding to customer complaints and quality issues

Writing manufacturing specifications for new products

Assisting the Design Manager with structural analysis calculations

Experience and qualifications required:

Degree qualified, preferably in Materials Science, Ceramics or a related discipline

Knowledge of the mechanical and thermal properties of ceramics and other engineering materials

Experience with testing procedures and quality systems

Background in ceramics or materials science is highly advantageous
