Job Title: Technical Representative – Military Vehicle Systems

Location: Coventry CV6

Vacancy Type: Full-time, Perm and Onsite

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 (subject to field service experience)

JOB SUMMARY

As a UK Technical Representative, you'll provide in-field support across Mainland Britain, and occasionally abroad, for the MOD and key stakeholders. You’ll represent NP Aerospace on platforms including MASTIFF, RIDGBACK, WOLFHOUND, FOXHOUND, JACKAL, COYOTE, and associated equipment like RODET.

Working to defined KPIs, you'll respond to formally tasked support requests, maintain platform knowledge, and act as a trusted technical advisor. You'll also help with platform maintenance and broader engineering support when not on assignment.

Be the face of NP Aerospace technical excellence and play a key role in supporting our critical MOD contract.

MAIN JOB DUTIES

  1. Conduct expert technical investigations and provide specialist advice and support

  2. Assist in the assessment and repair of attrition, negligence, misuse, and damage cases

  3. Analyse root causes of equipment failures and malfunctions

  4. Prepare clear, detailed damage reports for internal and Authority use

  5. Capture and report on lessons identified to inform continuous improvement

  6. Collect and relay feedback from users and maintainers to support product development

  7. Provide informed recommendations for Post Design Services (PDS) enhancements

  8. Support Level 1 to Level 3 maintenance activities as required

    EXPERIENCE

    Essential

  • Experience of maintenance of Protected Mobility Platforms gained as REME Class 1 Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.

  • Maintainer Knowledge of platforms MASTIFF, RIDGBACK, WOLFHOUND, FOXHOUND, JACKAL, COYOTE

  • Appropriate City and Guilds Certification as Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent

  • Full UK drivers’ licence

  • Proficient using Microsoft office

    Desirable

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent

  • Experience of working in a Service orientated organisation at SNCO level or above or equivalent

  • Experience of Defence Equipment & Support

  • Membership of/ or working towards membership of relevant professional body

  • ​Drivers licence Cat C
