Our client are a small Engineering Consultancy based in Reading. The companies approach is to apply Engineering to Service Support for IT systems and infrastructure.

Taking a Systems Engineering approach to Service Support over the full lifetime of a system. The primary focus is to influence the design of a system, through consideration of individual elements all working collaboratively, making it as supportable as possible to reduce the whole life cost across the predicted lifespan.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the design and delivery of IT system service solutions
Working under the guidance of Project Leads to develop skills and knowledge in Systems Engineering and Service Support
Utilising creativity and initiative towards problem solving
Engaging in client-facing activities at customer sites across the UK
Applying predictive systems modelling and failure analysis during design phases
Conducting continuous monitoring and trending analysis during service operation

Job Requirements:

Systems Engineering qualification
Qualified to degree level (2:1 or above)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience with MS Office
Able to achieve SC level UK security clearance
UK Driving Licence

Desirable Skills:

Maths A-Level or equivalent
Understanding of MS Excel analysis techniques
