Steel Fitter
Location: Kent
Shifts: Day shift- 6am start
Pay Rate: £20-£22 per hour overtime available at 1.5 X standard rate

We are currently seeking a skilled steel fitter to join our team at a busy steel and fabrications company.

Join a leading precision engineering manufacturer with over 30 years of success providing a comprehensive range of metal work fabrication and welding services, including batch work and one off custom designs to domestic and commercial customers across the South East and Central London.

Key Responsibilities for the Steel Fitter role:

  • Experience of structural steel erection: Structural steel, Stack balconies, Cantilever balconies, Recess balconies, Juliette balconies

  • Experience of architectural metalwork fitting: Stair balustrades (internal & external), Railings, Staircases, Handrails

  • Experience of fitting glass and decking products (timber composites and aluminium)

  • Strong understanding of design assembly drawings

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • High level of finish and attention to detail at all times

  • Good English verbal communication skills and written English

  • To follow the safe systems of work provided and promote a positive safety culture

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Company vehicle provided

    Requirements for the Steel Fitter role:

  • Architectural metalwork installation: 5 years (required)

  • Licence/Certification: CSCS Skilled Worker (NVQ certified) card (required)

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

  • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player

    Shift and rate for the Steel Fitter role:

  • Day shift, overtime available

  • £18-£20ph
