Senior Quality Engineer - Your Quality Stamp Will Fly Worldwide

What if every inspection you signed off, every audit you led, and every improvement you embedded, went straight into aerospace components trusted across the globe?

This isn’t just another Quality Engineer role. This is an opportunity to own quality from cradle to grave - shaping processes, solving problems, and working directly with customers and suppliers in the advanced composites sector.

You won’t be buried in paperwork. You’ll be at the table when new programmes are scoped, you’ll lead customer investigations when issues arise, and you’ll see your work fly - literally - as part of world-class aerospace projects.

What you’ll achieve here

Take full ownership of quality across multi-million-pound aerospace composite programmes.

Review RFQs and contracts to make sure customer and regulatory requirements are embedded from day one.

Lead audits (internal, supplier, and customer) that don’t just tick boxes — they drive measurable improvements.

Work hand-in-hand with customers and suppliers, building trust by resolving issues quickly and effectively.

Within 12 months, you’ll have led quality plans, closed NCRs, embedded corrective actions, and directly shaped the reputation of a business trusted by global aerospace primes.

What we’re looking for

Significant experience as a Quality Engineer in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing.

Strong grounding in AS9100 (Desireable) and/or ISO 9001 environments. (Essential)

Working knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.

A proactive, pragmatic approach - able to work both as a specialist and within integrated product teams.

Passion for quality, with the ability to influence and embed a quality mind-set in others.

(Desirable) Degree in Engineering or related discipline, and/or CQI membership.

Why join?

Pre-Employment Checks for Materials Science Jobs: DBS, References & Right-to-Work and more Explained

Pre-employment screening in materials science reflects the discipline's unique position at the intersection of advanced manufacturing, nanotechnology innovation, and critical materials development. Materials scientists often have privileged access to proprietary formulations, cutting-edge research data, and strategic materials technologies that form the foundation of organisational competitive advantage and technological leadership across multiple industries. The materials science industry operates within complex regulatory frameworks spanning chemical safety directives, nanotechnology governance requirements, and emerging advanced materials regulations. Materials science professionals must demonstrate not only technical competence in materials characterisation and development but also deep understanding of chemical safety protocols, environmental impact assessment, and the societal implications of advanced materials deployment at scale. Modern materials science roles frequently involve developing materials for aerospace applications, biomedical devices, energy storage systems, and advanced manufacturing processes across multiple regulatory jurisdictions and safety frameworks simultaneously. The combination of chemical expertise, materials innovation capabilities, and industrial application responsibility makes thorough candidate verification essential for maintaining compliance, safety, and technological leadership in materials-driven industries.
