About the Role:

We are looking for a meticulous and motivated Quality Lab Technician to join our client's Quality Assurance team within a dynamic food packaging environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all packaging materials and processes meet stringent quality and safety standards, supporting the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality packaging solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine testing and inspection of packaging materials (e.g., films, containers, labels) for compliance with specifications.
Conduct physical, chemical, and visual quality checks on incoming materials and finished packaging products.
Maintain accurate records of test results and report any deviations or non-conformances.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems such as ISO 9001, BRCGS Packaging, and HACCP.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used in accordance with SOPs.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Degree or HND in Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
Previous experience in a quality or laboratory role within the packaging or manufacturing industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and regulatory standards in food packaging.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office.
