Job Title: Quality Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £53,000
Sector: Defence & Aerospace
Location: Wool
Full Time: Monday - Thursday (8:00am - 5:00pm) Friday (8:00am - 2:00pm)

Due to our client's latest expansions within the Defence sector, a new opportunity has opened up for a Quality Engineer to join one of Dorset's leading engineers of diverse products. You will be working on projects from start to finish, using the latest technologies and techniques to manufacture high-quality and sustainable products for Britain's largest Military Aircraft & Marine manufacturers, MOD, and Space/SAT-comms clients.

Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Nonconformity review (NCR) process with initial investigation, Provide feedback to Quality, Engineering & Production teams on quality of product and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Monitor, maintain, & make continuous improvements the QMS.
Compiling First Article Reports in accordance with AS9102.
Quality sign off for Manufacturing packs.
Auditing of the QMS & associated processes.
Produce final release documentation packs and inspection reports for component acceptance.
Provide feedback to Quality, Engineering & Production teams on quality of product and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Review of in-process documentation to ensure compliance to Customer & Company processes & procedures.
Complete QA reviews of new enquiries or orders via the contract review process
Review of completed manufacturing documentation prior to product delivery.
Drive a continuous improvement cultureQuality Engineer Desirable Skills:

Experience with FARO or similar CMM Laser Tracker systems preferable or use of applications such as Polyworks, Spatial Analyser or similar metrology software.
Understanding of technical drawings, knowledge of GD&T would be advantageous.
Experience with MSA and Gauge R&R.
Lean and 5S experience.
Good understanding of root cause and corrective actions process and tools.
Report writing including CMM report analysis (Desirable)
Composites experience preferred, but not necessary.
Experience working directly with suppliers and customers.
Able to proactively identify process improvements to implement necessary changes.
Working to AS9100
