QC Lab Technician required. My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to hire a Lab Technician to join their established team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in an industrial lab setting, will be familiar with ISO quality systems, will be proficient in troubleshooting chemical processes and equipment and will be based within a commutable distance of Standish, Wigan.

QC Lab Technician Position Overview

Ensuring the timely completion of product testing in process and final analysis
Preparing pre-shipment materials and ensure accurate documentation
Testing of incoming materials
Carrying out project / development work as well as procedures relevant to equipment calibration
Issuing accurate process adjustment instructions
Identifying non-confirming material or process operations and arranging re-processing
Authorising changes in product specifications, formulas and manufacturing instructions
Responding to non-conformance corrective and preventative actions

QC Lab Technician Position Requirements

Able to follow Chemistry testing techniques
BTEC / HNC in Chemistry
Experience working in a busy, industrial lab setting
Proficient in troubleshooting issues with Lab equipment and processes
Strong understanding of Process driven / COMAH industry sites desirable
A familiarity with ISO9001, 14001 & 45001 desirable
Qualified in IOSH, First aid or Internal auditor
Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

QC Lab Technician Position Remuneration

£17.21 per hour
Friday - Sunday 06:00 - 18:00 (36 hours, 3 days a week)
23 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
