The successful Production Team Leader will receive support and development which will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further yourself and progress your career within a continually expanding business.
The Role:
Main Duties: Job Specific Task

  • Develop and optimize new and existing polymeric materials for manufacturing requirements.
  • To oversee new product introduction across the production process.
  • To introduce, monitor and sign off process improvements through the polyamide extrusion department.
  • Assisting with new process set up and development.
  • Monitoring production to ensure quality.
  • Monitoring and improving processes.
  • Studying work orders, drawings and making controlled alterations to assist with the development of polyamide extrusion systems.
  • Working to set procedures and tolerances.
  • Maintain continuity among colleagues by documenting, reporting and communicating on actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Developing risk assessments and operational procedures.
  • Work and liaise with various departments and external suppliers in the development of tooling systems.
  • Ensuring production output demands are met and a quality product is manufactured.
  • Creating reports to communicate the department’s development.
  • Overseeing recruitment and team development.
  • Achieving ISO standard certification
  • Reducing wastage and minimise loss
  • Managing output requirements on a daily basis
    The candidate:
  • Production Team Leader experience
  • Plastics, polymers or mechanical engineering background
  • Good people management experience
  • Happy working a rotating shift pattern
  • From a manufacturing background
