Production Supervisor/ Manager

Newport, commutable from Cardiff, Cwmbran, Caldicot, Caerphilly, Pontypool and surrounding areas

£37,000 - £45,000 + Days Based Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm) + Early Finish on Fridays (7:30am-12:30pm) + No Weekends + 25 Days Holiday + Company Pension + Benefits

The company are global business, spanning 3 continents, specialising in engineering solutions for a number of lucrative industries. Having been around for almost a century, this company have continued to grow and expand into new markets and are looking for an Supervisor to help with their expansion and join their close-knit team in Newport by offering a generous package as well the opportunity for the right candidate to develop themselves within the business.

The day to day responsibilities for this role will be to oversee the production department and ensure that all H&S, KPIs and Quality standards are being met across the company site. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to their own mark and work alongside senior management to implement improvement projects longer term.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Production Supervisor or Production Manager with a background working in Aerospace/ Automotive/ Metallurgy/ Oil & Gas or similar industry and have overseen their own team.

THE ROLE:
*Production Manager
*Planning, scheduling and management of production staff
*Overseeing and managing projects to improve efficiency and profits
*Days' based shift pattern, Monday-Friday

THE PERSON:
*Production Manager or Production Supervisor looking to progress
*Management experience from a production background
*Aerospace/ Automotive/ Metallurgy/ Oil & Gas/ Metals background will be advantageous but not necessary
*Have implemented H&S standards or holding H&S qualifications
*Exposure to lean methods
