What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with Quality and Technical teams to review customer specifications and create tailored work instructions for metallurgical processes. - Work closely with planning and operations departments to ensure production targets are met efficiently and accurately. - Conduct microstructural testing using advanced optical and digital tools, leading investigations to identify root causes of deviations and implementing corrective actions. - Digitise and organise metallurgical data, ensuring it is accessible for audits and technical reviews. - Support live process audits by verifying that all metal additions, chemistry, and casting characteristics meet required specifications. - Lead failure analysis investigations, identifying causes of casting failures and recommending preventive measures.

    What You Will Bring:

  • A degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline. - A keen interest in metallurgical processes and continuous improvement. - Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills. - Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. - Experience in industrial or laboratory settings is advantageous but not essential.
