An impending retirement prompts the search for an accomplished individual to safeguard and drive forward cross-functional communications and co-ordination.
This global market leader is recognised for delivering technical solutions to OEM’s, end-users and appointed distributor channels. The company manufacture critical components for power transmission equipment used in drivetrain applications within Oil & Gas, Mineral Extraction, Mass Transit, Marine Propulsion and Metal Processing Sectors.
Role

  • Day to day activities will mainly focus around design, creating engineering drawings, bill of material creation/management and setting up components/assemblies on the ERP system – all based on customer requirements and timescales communicated through the sales team.
  • Model and develop bespoke designs for customers based on existing product ranges, manage important ERP data and develop technical processes and procedures.
  • Design analysis, collaboration with production engineering related to Product Support – customer returns / failure analysis / problem solving
    You
  • Should demonstrate a successful record of product design and development with the interpersonal skills to enhance inter-departmental communications.
  • Conversant with ProE CAD software package (Creo 2.0 an added advantage) and able to assimilate technical complexities and present feasible solutions.
  • It is essential you can evidence understanding of engineering first principles, 3D modelling, production of engineering drawings and re familiar with ISO quality assurance procedures
  • Welcome the prospect of working within a team supporting best practice culture, whilst striving for notable customer service levels
