Job Overview: Working exclusively with our client, a group of leading injection moulding manufacturers, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team during an exciting period of sustained business growth.

Role:

  • We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to carry out the mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant equipment. This includes high-tech manufacturing machinery and associated ancillary equipment. Your role will be key to ensuring consistent production and equipment reliability, supporting the company’s operational goals.

  • With leading industry training provided on industry-specific machinery and systems this is an excellent opportunity for an experience Maintenance Engineer or junior/apprentice engineer looking for their next opportunity.

    Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults that occur on plant and/or equipment.

  • Assist with the maintenance programme for all plant and/or equipment (hydraulics, robots, ancillary machines automatic assembly).

  • Validate new plant equipment, automation and upgrades.

  • Process/equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis

  • Ensure all items of plant and/or equipment is in good safe working order

  • Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment.

  • Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes, in accordance with the Quality Management System.

    Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained or formally qualified in mechanical and/or electrical engineering

  • A good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls.

  • Qualified electrician with 16th/17th/18th Edition regulations or equivalent

  • Logic fault-finding & problem-solving skills

  • Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

  • Experience of reactive maintenance

  • Troubleshooting problems on various types of equipment

  • You will be a focused team player with a strong character with the aim to further improving the department

  • Full driving licence
