CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Shift Analyst, to join a leading provider of specialty metals, alloys and materials. The role is based in Rotherham, and is on a full time, permanent basis. This role has a salary of £24,810 plus shift allowance.

Shifts:

12 hour shift rota – 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off pattern, working hours are from 07:00-19:00 or 19:00-07:00.

The Role:

To carry out analyses using a range of testing equipment, in order to produce analytical reports and certification.

Your main duties will be:

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with ISO standards and Quality Procedures.
Preparation of samples.
Provide Shift Leaders with any information needed for jobs/complaints. 
Ensure areas are clean and safe at the end of the shift. 

The ideal candidate's skills and qualifications:

HNC or Equivalent in Chemistry, Metallurgy or Materials Engineering.
An understanding of the range of materials typically supplied into the laboratory.
Knowledge of techniques used in a laboratory (e.g. acid dilution, fusion testing techniques, XRD).
Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines.
