Structural Test Engineer - T&D
📍 Motorsport Valley | Sector: Motorsport | Type: Permanent

Matchtech are working on behalf of a prestigious Formula One team to recruit a Structural Test Engineer for their cutting-edge Test & Development (T&D) Group.

This role offers a unique chance to work at the forefront of F1 technology, planning and delivering critical structural tests for major car components - from wings and floors to chassis impact structures. If you're passionate about data, precision, and making things stronger, faster, and lighter, this is your playground.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver structural testing activities both on-site and off-site.

Collaborate with design engineers to interpret test requirements.

Work with T&D technicians on test setup, rig assembly, and data acquisition.

Create detailed test protocols, select sensors/transducers, and analyse test data.

Deliver accurate and clear test reports, ensuring data is logged and stored properly.

Contribute ideas to improve equipment and methods within the T&D department.

Represent the values of honesty, inclusion, and collaboration within the team.

What We're Looking For:

A degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Motorsport Engineering.

Experience in a test or R&D environment within motorsport, aerospace, or similar.

Strong knowledge of data logging systems, measurement techniques, and sensor selection.

Familiarity with composite materials and their behaviour under load.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-driven mindset.

A genuine interest in test data and validation engineering.

This is a full-time, office-based role located at the team's high-performance campus in Motorsport Valley, with occasional travel to off-site testing facilities
