Are you a qualified electrician? Do you have experience within a Heavy Industrial environment? Are you based in or around Hartlepool?

We are supporting TATA Steel with a permanent opportunity for an Electrical Craft Team Member to join their Hartlepool works. Hartlepool works produce around 220,000 tonnes of tube product annually which is utilised within the construction, energy, infrastructure and engineering sectors.

The successful applicant will be someone who is time served, holds experience within a Heavy Industrial environment and in an experienced electrical maintenance capacity.

Role: Electrician (Electrical Craft)

Location: TATA Steel, Hartlepool Works, Brenda Rd, Hartlepool TS25 2EG

Rate: £42,238 basic (Inclusive of shift allowance) rising to £46,395 upon demonstration of site specific competencies + quarterly bonus

Shifts: X4 on X4 off shift pattern. This includes X2 days, X2 nights and X4 off. (12 hour shifts)

Start: ASAP but pending the successful result of a medical assessment. (This does include a drug and alcohol test)

Responsibilities:



Maintaining and repairing the sites electrical equipment

*

Ensuring reliability and precision of electrical circuits

*

Providing 1st line support to the Manufacturing areas

*

Reporting to the Shift Engineer and conducting assigned duties as required

*

Conducting reactive and preventative maintenance tasks

*

Identifying and rectifying electrical faults

*

Troubleshooting relay control circuits, AC/DC motors, and various types of drives

*

Conducting basic PLC fault finding on Siemens S7 300, 1200, and 1500 systems

*

Contributing to plant reliability and efficiency by identifying and implementing improvement projects

*

Adhering to strict Health and Safety protocols and SSOW

Essential requirements:

*

Time served electrical apprenticeship

*

Previous experience (2+ years) within a Heavy Industrial environment

*

Driving Licence and access to own vehicle (due to the shifts)

*

Ability to be fully flexible and adhere to the shift pattern

*

Industrial and domestic wiring experience

*

Overhead crane and associated safety systems knowledge and experience

*

AC/DC motor/gearbox drive systems experience

*

Ability to interpret electrical drawings

*

Experience with low voltage systems, drives and PLC’s

*

Ability to fault find and conduct root cause failure analysis

*

Good verbal and written communication skills

*

Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
