At NP Aerospace, you will specifically support the global expansion of our military vehicle engineering and technical services operation.
​​This part of the business specialises in complete vehicle integration and support solutions, including the Protected Mobility Engineering & Technical Support (PMETS) contract, where NP Aerospace acts as engineering authority for the UK Ministry of Defence’s protected mobility fleet, including Mastiff, Foxhound, and Jackal.
​The Vehicle Systems, Services and Spares (VSSS) team has over 25 years of experience leading complex military vehicle integrations and has supported over 2,000 vehicle platforms. Check out our website to find out more!
​As a key member of the team, you will work with other team members and project managers, both within the PMETS Team, the wider organisation and on occasions with suppliers and clients.
​You will be working on a range of technical development projects which are targeted to ensure that our products are the most technically advanced and competent on the market and design to upgrade and sustain the UK Protected Mobility fleet.
​This role is based onsite and potential for hybrid working subject to operational needs.

    MAIN DUTIES
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a companywide Configuration Management process.
  • Develop, maintain, and embed Project Configuration & Data Management Plans, ensuring adoption through education and training.
  • Assess and resolve urgent configuration control requests, making decisions aligned with project priorities and lifecycle stages.
  • Deliver process improvements that balance flexibility with control, in line with company procedures.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of product configuration (hardware, software, and documentation) in accordance with UK DEF-STAN 05-57.
  • Conduct regular reviews of Project Configuration Management Plans, updating as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on Configuration Management tools, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate Configuration Status Records and Accounts across all products.

    EXPERIENCE
    REQUIRED
  • Degree in an appropriate scientific, technical, engineering, or similar subject.
    DESIRED
  • MA, MSc, or PhD in an appropriate scientific, technical, engineering, analytical, mathematical, social sciences, humanities or similar subject.
  • Experience of using tools to support design release, baseline control and Change management (Windchill PDM tool, MCAD (Creo), DOORS, Software CM tools and SAP
  • Certified Auditor capable of leading process and Configuration audits
  • Membership of or working towards membership of relevant professional body.
