Business Development Executive (Plastic Moulding/Finishing & Assembly)
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £45-50k per annum (depending on experience) + Company Car

Are you a dynamic, results-driven professional with a passion for business development? We’re seeking a Business Development Executive to join our client’s thriving team and play a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion within the plastic moulding industry. This exciting permanent opportunity, reporting directly to the Head of Sales, offers the chance to work with a well-established company renowned for delivering high-quality solutions across various industries.

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll have the freedom to manage your own schedule, travel nationwide, and build relationships with new clients in a fast-paced, competitive market. You’ll be integral to shaping the future of the company’s sales strategy, meeting key targets, and ensuring our client stays ahead of the competition.

With over 45 years of experience, our client is a trusted supplier of plastic components and assemblies to leading OEMs across a range of industries including agriculture, automotive, construction, off-road vehicles, and medical. Their extensive expertise in thermoset and thermoplastic moulding solutions, including painting and assembly, has earned them a stellar reputation in the UK and Europe.

Business Development Executive Key Responsibilities:

Drive new business development and foster long-lasting client relationships across the UK
Take full ownership of your diary, strategically planning and conducting visits to potential clients
Execute and support the company’s strategic sales plan, consistently meeting targets and expanding the client base
Provide timely, accurate visit reports and updates to ensure continuous growth and performance
Collaborate with the Head of Sales to ensure all quotes align with company costing procedures
Identify new business opportunities that complement the company’s design and manufacturing capabilities
Manage and grow key accounts as directed, ensuring excellent service and retention
Contribute to the creation and execution of a marketing strategy to support business growth and financial targets
What We’re Looking For:

Proven track record in business development within the plastic moulding sector, with a focus on injection moulding
Strong technical knowledge of tooling design and component design for plastic moulding
A deep understanding of polymers and injection moulding processes
Experience working with industries such as automotive, healthcare, agriculture, construction, and more
Familiarity with thermoset/Moulding structural foam processes is a plus
Expertise in post-moulding operations, including cosmetic finishing (painting) and assembly is desirable
Ability to prepare detailed, costed quotes in line with company policies
Proficiency in CRM systems and reporting tools
A motivated, ambitious individual eager to take the next step in your career
Desirable Business Development Executive Qualifications:

Background in technical sales or business development within the plastic moulding industry
Ideally educated to HND level or equivalent
Experience in account planning, development, and execution
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to translate sales strategies into action
